Pasture Raised Lamb

   

Our certified organic lambs are pastured on organic grasses and legumes, fresh air and sunshine. They receive no growth hormones, antibiotics or other feed additives. Research is beginning to show that pastured animals produce a safer fat, rich in Omega-3 fatty acids, conjugated linoleic acid (CLA) and beta-carotene. This is not true of animals raised in feedlots on concentrated grain diets. Our meat is processed locally, USDA inspected and sold directly from the farm in half and whole lamb sections.

The price of lamb is $ 4.50 per pound hanging weight plus $ 80.00 processing for a whole lamb. The average carcass weight is 50 pounds with a 15% trim loss during processing.
