Pasture Raised Beef
Our beef steers are pastured on a mixture of alfalfa, clover, timothy and rye. They enjoy fresh air and sunshine and receive
no growth hormones, antibiotics or other feed additives. Some of the many benefits of grass fed beef include: lower saturated fats with high levels of
Omega-3 fatty acids, CLA and beta carotene.
Our meat is processed locally and USDA inspected. Beef can be purchased in
bundles of 40 lbs., quarters, halves and wholes. Our bundles are comprised of
roasts, steaks and ground beef. Our quarters and halves are comprised of a mix
of both front and hind quarters: 33% steaks, 35% roasts, 15% ribs and stew meat
and 17% ground beef.
The price of a 40 lb. bundle is $ 4.50 per pound. Quarters, halves and wholes are priced at $ 2.50 / lb. of hanging weight plus processing. Our steers have an average hanging weight of 550 lbs. and the processing cost of approximately $ .43 per lb. is based on hanging weight.
